Hosting a poll
Start a poll
Set one up in about a minute.
1. Name your plan
Tap Start a poll and give it a name your guests will recognise. If you like, tap Add a place for an address or video call link, and Add some details for anything people should know.
2. Choose how long
Under How long?, pick 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1½ hours or 2 hours. New times will be that long, and you can change any of them afterwards. Choose All day if you only want people to pick days.
3a. Pick times in Month view
- Tap the dates that could work. Each one gets a time you can change.
- Use Add another time for more times on the same day.
- Use the ⋯ menu next to a day to copy its times to every other day, or remove the day.
3b. Or pick times in Week view
Week view shows times on a calendar grid, a bit like your own calendar. On a phone it shows one day at a time so the boxes are easy to tap.
- Tap an empty space to add a time at that spot.
- Drag the dots at the top or bottom of a selected time to change when it starts or ends.
- Drag the middle of a selected time to move it. On a computer you can drag it to a different day, too.
- Tap the × to remove a time.
- Times can overlap: they sit side by side. Tap the thin free strip on the right of a day to add an overlapping time.
- On a computer, you can also click and drag down on an empty space to draw a time of any length.
4. Check the time zone
Times are set in the time zone shown under the calendar. Guests automatically see them in their own time zone. Turn on Keep one time zone if you're all meeting in the same place. More about time zones.
5. Any extras?
The defaults work well for most plans, but you can change them:

Keep names private
Guests see how many people answered, but not who.
No peeking
Guests only see other answers after they've sent their own.
