Yes, maybe or no: why we added maybe
26 September 2026 · The WhenLoop team
A yes/no poll forces people to guess. If Thursday is tricky but possible, do you say yes and risk letting everyone down later, or no and risk ruling out the only day that works for the group?
Yes
I can make it
Maybe
If I move things around
No
I can't do this one
“Maybe” removes the guesswork. It shows up as an amber wave next to the green ticks, so the host can see at a glance which times are solid and which would need a little juggling.
How maybe counts
A maybe counts towards an option's score, just like a yes. That means a time where everyone's a yes or a maybe still rises to the top, and nobody gets left out because they were being honest about a busy week.
Prefer it strict?
If you'd rather keep things black and white, switch to yes or no only when you create a poll, under Extras.
